About Us

Welcome to Simplify Adulting. This is where we—Lee, Margaret, and Addison—unite to help guide you through the complexities of adulthood in your 20s.

Here's a little more about us...

Lee: As a 50-something mom, I still remember the challenges I experienced in my twenties. Our 20s are both an exciting and challenging time. It is the first real chance to spread our wings and stand on our own two. There is a desire to be independent and do it our way. I also recall the challenge of feeling underprepared for the responsibilities. The adult expectations could feel overwhelming.

Watching Addison and Margaret make their way through their 20s has made me realize that the adulting world is way more complex today. The digital world, the speed of change, and endless amounts of information have changed the adulting game. I often ask myself how I would have fared being faced with social media, 24x7 information flow, and digital tools designed to get me to spend, spend, spend.

After years of guiding executives, I have redirected my focus to helping young adults like you find their place in an overwhelming world. From tackling burnout to dispelling the illusions of social media, I am here to coach, cheer, and challenge you as we redefine what it means to be 'an adult. 'I've been through it all, and I understand the adulting challenges. You're not alone in this journey.

Margaret: With a background spanning Division 1 lacrosse on the East Coast to graduating from Arizona State University, I've learned to pivot more than once. My college and post-college years were filled with changes and challenges that didn't fit my adulting script.  Nothing entirely went as planned.   At Simplify Adulting, I share my journey and lessons in navigating career uncertainties, controlling my finances, and finding community in our digital world. I get what you're going through, and I'm here to share my experiences and insights to help you navigate these challenges.

Addison:  After a brief stint in a traditional college left me stressed out, I switched to a trades program. I earned my certificate as an auto technician. I've worked everything from construction sites to auto shops, gathering life skills that schools often skip.  Like Margaret, I've had to pivot and toss out the blueprint I had envisioned for adulting.  I still don't have it all figured out.  I've learned practical strategies along the way and am here to share them with you.

We make a great team because we get to pair the adulting challenges of today with the perspective and experience that come with time.  This unique combination allows us to provide practical tools and strategies for the realities faced by 20-somethings today.

At Simplify Adulting, we are a community. We're here to share our personal stories and professional insights, ensuring that no matter where you are on your adulting journey, you have a trio of guides who understand and can help you navigate the complexities of adulting life.
